What does a warehousing company do?
A warehousing company stores goods for other businesses and handles them on the way in and out: unloading, counting, putaway, storage and loading outbound freight. Alvy Logistics is a warehousing company with one building: 58,000 sq ft of ambient, dry space in Valencia, in the Santa Clarita Valley. Inventory is racked or floor-stacked, and the same team that stores it also runs the courier and local box truck work around it.
Storage that fits the way your inventory moves
- By the pallet for steady, palletized stock: pallet storage from $25 per pallet per month.
- By the square foot when you want a footprint held for you, from $2.50 per sq ft, billed monthly for the agreed term.
- For a few weeks or months when you need overflow, seasonal or between-buildings space: see short-term warehouse storage.
- Barely at all when freight only needs to change trucks: see cross-docking.
Is 3PL warehousing the same as renting space?
No. With 3PL warehousing, the warehouse team handles your goods and you pay for the pallets or floor space you use plus handling, from $25 per pallet per month and from $12 per pallet in or out. Renting space means a lease on a whole building, your own staff, racking and equipment. Our 3PL services page covers the order work that can run on top of storage.
Warehousing and distribution services under one roof
Storage is only half the job. Freight has to arrive and leave on time. Because Alvy also runs courier and freight, a pallet can come off a container, sit in storage, get relabeled and leave on a box truck the same week, without you coordinating three companies. Freight held between a courier pickup and a later delivery sits in the same Valencia warehouse. That is the practical difference between commercial warehouse storage and warehousing and distribution services.
What is the difference between warehousing and distribution?
Warehousing is holding inventory until it is needed. Distribution is moving it out to the places that need it: stores, customers, job sites or other warehouses. Many buildings only do the first. Here the second is part of the same job, with outbound by Alvy courier or box truck, by parcel carriers that pick up at our dock, or by LTL and truckload through Accurate Freight Systems LLC, the licensed property broker in our group.
Where the building sits
Valencia is on the I-5 at the north end of Los Angeles County, about 40 miles from downtown and 60 to 65 miles from the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. That puts the warehouse outside the basin congestion, with the I-5 running north to the Central Valley and Northern California and the 14 running east toward the high desert. For inbound containers, a drayage carrier delivers to our dock and we take it from there.
The building came to Alvy with Accurate Freight Systems, bought outright in October 2025, and every Alvy team now works from it: 58,000 sq ft with 12 dock doors and 1,000 pallet positions.
What we say up front
We are not a bonded warehouse, we do not store hazmat, and we have no climate-controlled storage. If your goods need any of those, a different building is the right answer, and we would rather tell you now. When you are ready, send your pallet count, dimensions and dates and request a quote in writing.
