Business courier service across Los Angeles County
Alvy Logistics runs its courier service in Los Angeles for businesses from a 58,000 sq ft warehouse in Valencia, in the Santa Clarita Valley. The sections below cover each part of Los Angeles County, with driving miles from the warehouse; a run that starts elsewhere is priced on its own trip miles. Beyond the county, contractor drivers based in each area take local runs in Fresno and the Central Valley, Ventura and Santa Barbara, the Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego.
We are a B2B courier: a business books and pays for every run, and the written quote shows the price before you book. We do not handle household moves or residential relocations.
Courier service in the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys
This is where Alvy started: Noah Alvarez founded the business here in 2020, delivering across the Santa Clarita Valley, and the warehouse and dispatch are still in Valencia. Runs across the valley, such as Valencia to Newhall at about 9 miles, are short and fit inside the base rate. The 14 leaves the I-5 at the Newhall Pass and climbs to the Antelope Valley: Palmdale and Lancaster are about an hour to an hour and ten minutes from the warehouse with light traffic.
The San Fernando Valley
The Valley is the part of the city closest to the warehouse: Van Nuys and Burbank are about 26 to 30 miles away by road, on the I-5, the 405 and the 118. The cities, roads and typical runs are on our San Fernando Valley courier service page.
Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood messenger runs
By road the warehouse is about 40 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 33 from Hollywood. Downtown courier work is mostly messenger work: contracts, originals and court papers between law firms, the financial district and the courthouses around the Civic Center, and samples moving through the Fashion District. Hollywood runs lean toward production: hard drives, equipment and paperwork between production offices and post houses.
The Westside
Santa Monica, Culver City, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills sit about 36 to 40 road miles from the warehouse, reached over the Sepulveda Pass or along the 10. See courier service in Santa Monica and the Westside for the cities, building access and typical runs.
LAX, the South Bay and Long Beach
From the LAX area through Torrance and Carson to the Long Beach harbor, the county’s south end is about 44 to 65 miles from the warehouse and runs on the 405, the 110 and the 710. Routes and prices are on courier service in Long Beach and the South Bay.
Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley
Pasadena is about 40 miles from the warehouse on the 210, with El Monte, City of Industry and Pomona further east along the 10 and the 60. The cities and typical runs are covered on courier service in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.
Which vehicle does my delivery need?
The vehicle sets the base price, so we match it to the load instead of sending a truck for an envelope.
- Car for documents, small parcels and specimens. From $45 for the first 20 miles.
- Cargo van for cartons, parts and light freight. From $80 for the first 20 miles.
- 20 to 26 ft box truck for pallets, fixtures and bulky freight, with a liftgate or a pallet jack added to the quote where the receiver has no dock. From $200 for the first 20 miles.
Mileage is added after the first 20 miles. If you are not sure which vehicle fits, tell us the weight, the number of pieces and the pickup and delivery points, and we will tell you.
Legal and document courier runs
Documents ride by car, from $45 for the first 20 miles: contracts, originals and court papers between law firms, the financial district and the courthouses around the Civic Center, and signed paperwork between offices anywhere in the county. When your process calls for it, the driver signs your custody form or delivery receipt at the handoff. The delivery update in our online shipper portal comes with a photo, so you have proof of delivery the moment the papers land.
Should I book same day or set up a route?
Same day courier service covers the urgent job: a part that has to reach a job site, a contract that needs a signature by five, a store that ran out of stock. Once a delivery repeats, it usually makes sense to schedule it. A recurring route runs at a fixed window and is quoted from your stops and days, and because an added stop costs less than a new run, it often comes out cheaper than booking each delivery on demand. When the work fills a day, a dedicated driver and vehicle can be booked for the day or for set hours.
Who uses a local B2B delivery service?
The service is built for labs and clinics with specimen runs, retailers and brands that need store and customer deliveries, manufacturers moving parts between sites, production companies in Los Angeles, and logistics companies that need a local partner for the last leg. Courier services for small business accounts work the same way: a single run is priced on its own trip miles, and a scheduled route is quoted from however many stops you have.
How do I book and track a courier in Los Angeles?
New clients start by phoning (661) 344-8766 or filling in the quote form on this page. Once your account is set up, you book and follow orders in our online shipper portal, which runs on the DispatchScience TMS with custom integrations, and business clients are invoiced. In the portal you can follow each run with the driver’s live location, onsite updates, and pickup and delivery updates with photos, so proof of delivery comes with a picture. Forwarders, 3PLs and shippers that run their own TMS can usually connect it to the portal; ask a coordinator about it during setup. For what sets the price of a run, see the Los Angeles courier cost guide.
