Warehousing and fulfillment services in one building
Alvy Logistics fulfills ecommerce orders from one 58,000 sq ft warehouse in Valencia, in the Santa Clarita Valley of north Los Angeles County. Your inventory, the people who pick it and the dock it ships from are all in one building, so there is no guessing which facility has your stock. Brands comparing ecommerce fulfillment in Los Angeles can see how the location works on our Los Angeles 3PL page.
How our order fulfillment services work
- You send inventory. By parcel, pallet or container. We count it against your packing list and put it away.
- Orders flow in. Your store connects through the Logiwa client portal (Shopify, for example), where you can see stock and order status. Orders are released against a daily cutoff we agree with you.
- We pick, pack and ship. To your packing spec, with your inserts and packaging, on the carrier service you choose. Parcels leave on carrier pickups at our Valencia dock, to US and international addresses.
- We process returns and report. Returns are checked to your rules, and discrepancies, damages and returns are reported as they come up, not saved for month end.
Why do high SKU counts slow down fulfillment?
Every SKU needs its own storage location, its own count and its own pick, so a catalog with many sizes, colors or shades means more travel, more scanning and more chances to pick a near match. Slow sellers also hold space that fast sellers could use. That is why our pick and pack is priced from a sample of your real orders and your SKU count, and why the two most SKU-heavy categories have their own pages: apparel fulfillment and beauty and cosmetics fulfillment.
Shopify and store integrations
Your store connects through the Logiwa client portal, Shopify for example, so orders reach the warehouse without retyping and you follow stock and order status in one place. If you sell through more than one channel, or take wholesale orders by email or EDI, list every order source when you request a quote, and we confirm how each one connects before any stock moves. For brands comparing a Shopify 3PL, the order flow is laid out step by step on our pick and pack services page.
International orders
International order fulfillment runs from the same building: parcels to addresses outside the US are packed from the same stock and leave on the same carrier pickups at our Valencia dock, so there is no second inventory to manage. Postage depends on weight, destination and service and is added to each order. This is one California warehouse shipping abroad, not a network of warehouses in other countries, so tell us which countries you ship to and how many orders go abroad each month.
Brands based elsewhere that want a western inventory node can read 3PL in California.
What is omnichannel fulfillment?
Omnichannel fulfillment ships every sales channel from one inventory: your online store, your other sales channels and wholesale orders to retailers. Here, direct-to-consumer parcels and wholesale cartons or pallets are picked from the same stock in Valencia, with retail orders built to the buyer’s routing guide, GS1-128 labels, advance ship notices and EDI where the retailer requires them. B2B and wholesale fulfillment covers the retail side in detail.
An ecommerce fulfillment center sized for growing brands
We are not built for the very smallest sellers, and we are not a national network with a dozen buildings. Our order fulfillment services fit brands shipping a few hundred to several thousand orders a month, and wholesale accounts that ship by the pallet as well as by the parcel. Inside that range you get a named team and a building you can visit.
What is a 3PL fulfillment company, and when should you use one?
A 3PL fulfillment company stores your inventory and ships your orders from its own warehouse with its own staff, so you pay per pallet and per order instead of for a building and a team. Brands usually move to 3PL ecommerce fulfillment when packing takes over the week or orders outgrow the space they have. Our 3PL services page covers the storage and freight around the orders, and ecommerce logistics walks through the whole chain from factory to doorstep.
Returns processing
Returns come back to the Valencia warehouse and are processed to rules you set in writing: checked, restocked when sellable and set aside when not. Your return rate goes into the quote, so the cost is known before launch. Our reverse logistics services page covers grading, rework, return to vendor and local return pickups.
What to send us for a fulfillment quote
Accurate fulfillment pricing starts from your real orders, not an estimate. Recent order data, the number of SKUs, how stock reaches us and what goes in each box let us price pick and pack per job and tell you whether your volume fits before you move any stock. Each fulfillment page lists what to send for its kind of work. Send it through the quote form or call (661) 344-8766, and you get a written quote with every charge on it.
Specialized fulfillment
Some products need more than standard pick and pack. We run kitting and assembly for bundles and kits, and subscription box fulfillment cycle by cycle; B2B and wholesale fulfillment with retailer compliance and EDI; beauty and cosmetics fulfillment with lot and expiry tracking, oldest date first, and limited-quantity fragrance, nail polish and aerosols accepted after safety data sheet review; apparel fulfillment with hanging storage for garments; and marketing and merch kits, delivered to trade shows and live events.
